You will have 4GB of ram.
Just that a 32Bit Operating system will not pickup on all the 4GB. Now with 4GB of ram a 32Bit OS will assign some of that to other hardware perihperals, and whatever is left, is there for RAM use. 3.25GB is probably what you will see.

YEp thats 64Bit, and what kind of processor have you got?
Goto, Start, Control panel, System, then there will be something that says computer: on that page, it will tell you what processor u have.

Like someone said before me your prolly better off buying another one. It seems that you know next to nothing about computers (no offense) so it will be that much harder to build it for you. http://www.tigerdirect.com/applicati...6563&CatId=114

Last time I checked, mac-pro.com had power supplies for $250 plus $15 for an instruction manual.
a 1 GB PC-3200 memory stick for a PowerMac G5 is $127. Want to buy the oem dvd drive? $117. Wanna upgrade you graphics to ATI 9650 256mb? $227.
But Macs are supposed to never break right? yeah.
I can get a bfg nvidia 9600gt 512mb pci-e for 150 bucks.

Yeah its an ok Processor. And it really depends how much you want to spend on a new mobo and processor. Just save yourself all the hassel and buy a new pc. Just rip out the disk drives and hard drives out of your cureent one and put it in a new one.

YEs it can handle a 64Bit Operating System.
But no offense, it sounds like your not that computer savvy, so you may have a tough time getting ,installing and making the drivers "work" with a 64Bit Operating system.

can any one help? also i got a floppy drive, it has the ribbin type plug, can i plug it into that blue slot in the upper right?
And as for different colored SATA or even IDE interfaces, in today's world they aren't really color-coded they are just colored to look cool...
im thinking about upgrading my computers mother board, i want somethin that is good, and can have 4 ot more gb of ram. can someone suggest a mother board for me. can i use the prossesor from my computer?
And if you have an AGP slot for graphics make sure you get one with the correct voltage...and if you have a PCI-E graphics card then make sure the slot on the motherboard is x16.

Time to bring a thread back from the dead.
i got win xp 32 bit pro, i'm going to be getting a new pc soon and i wanted so bad to go i7 but i just can't and fell back onto a killer amd system, anyways i do alot of multi tasking so i went with quad core, now the thing is i know for quad core you need 64 bit os, but the cpu says it supports both 32-64bit os, so would my os i have work and see the quad core or am i stuck picking up vista 64bit?
My options are, xp 32, unbuntu 64, vista 64. Now i like ubuntu but i hate having to go threw 3rd party programs to play my games, vista is just a cost that i really can't afford, i could go with the open beta win 7 64 bit, and there vista driver pack, but i had sound issues with them with my card, but i'm using a usb headset so there would be no issues, but its not suppose to be a perma os.

Thought i would bump the thread with a few updates, didn't think it fit in my build thread so here it is. I have been running this setup since xmas, just found the pics on my hdd thought i would share before i switch to win7.
I upgraded to the haf-932, and a noctua nh-d14. This was before my new video card, the cooler makes everything look tiny.
