OMG one of the guys i know is 63 and he has a buntch of rc's he still runs!
and one other guy i know he is 36 and he has 60+ rc's
so no you are not too young!

I'm coming up on 56 [X(] and have been messing with some kind of R/C since my middle 20's. Right now I'm doing the boat thing as it seems to be geared more towards people my age and older plus I'm having a helluva lotta fun doing it.
My wife and son have both raced R/C trucks and boats and my wife is very well aware of my addiction. I'm not doing drugs or hanging out in nudie bars, she knows where I am so there's no problem as long as the bills get paid. Fortunately I don't have a garage otherwise there would be some full-sized toy in it like a street rod.
Guys gotta tinker with something so if your choice is R/C trucks, fine.
My wife told me that she gave birth to a son just so I'd have someone to play with my toys with.
If she's the type that goes shopping to buy another pair of shoes, a purse or more clothes that she doesn't have room for, that's her toy. Tell her to try to give THAT up!
Golf? YUCK!!!!! I do miss my bass boat, motorcycle and dune buggy though.

Im only 16 and my mum hates it when I buy RC cars, she says their for old people and she sent me off to golf!!!!!!!!!! But I was quickly kicked out of golf for hitting the caddys with golf balls, swearing out loud whenever I messed up, and I got those exploding golf balls everytime the instructor came and completly destroyed his cloths
So now im back home and things have got worse, I now have a HPI Baja and my mum claims the tyres and petrol are stinking up the house, it does smell, but its a nice aromatic relaxing smell...

dsales, do what we're doing in the gas boating circles, switch from petrol to what we call white gas or what is commonly known as campstove fuel. Mix your oil the same and no needle settings need to be changed. It burns cleaner and doesn't have the smell of petrol when stored or transported.
Collector, I don't care if my wife sees what I post or not. I used to fear her back when she had "The Visitor" show up every month but finally got tired of it as there are natural medications that they can take so they aren't so grumpy.
BTW, I'll be married to her for 23 years tomorrow.

Back to the author. If you've only got a Savage she has nothing to gripe about. If you had a garage or basement full of trucks then maybe a complaint. Don't ask me how many R/C anythings that I've got as I've lost track! With some things I'm better stocked than my 2 LHS's.

25 years cost me a trip to vegas and all the shows out there
30 years (last may) i got off with a week at the redneck riveria for bike week
