i do like good cats better than dogs though, we had one, adopted, named Chester, he was a tiger tabby and loved to be pet and held.... and fed (weighed over 26 pounds) but he died at 15... now we have another cat, lisa, again adopted, and she is ok, it pees on our clean laundry and avoids being held at all costs, I could care less if she was gone tomorrow.

cats are very unique, as they can have very different personalities.

Cats are okay I guess, I used to have some, and they were great at controlling pests around the house.
Well, actually, we got a mouse infestation from one of our cats. Here is how it happened: I had a tabby, and he would go out mousing. One day, he came in with a field mouse in his mouth, not yet killed. I think he was trying to show it off to us (cats kind of like to brag about their mousing abilities). When he came in, he had the mouse completly in his mouth. The only thing that was showing was the tail. My mom saw the tail and told me to pull the string out of his mouth before he swallowed it and choked on it. I told her that it wasnt a string, it was a mouse tail. She started screaming and startled the cat. The cat dropped the mouse and the mouse ran under the refrigerator. We spent hours trying to get that mouse out. Anyways, a week later, we hear squeaking, lots of squeaking. That mouse that the cat dropped the week before was pregnant! Those grew up and bred, and so forth. My cat could not keep up in killing them, more would breed than he would kill.

lol well this post went well! CATS ARE AWSOME!!!! i have 4 cats, 2 of them had babbies, 4 each, so we had 12 cats. we got rid of most of them, so we are keeping 2 out of the 8

so we will have 6!

i prefer dogs. and not snakes or lizards. IMO, who wants to hold something that can't do tricks, has no personality, etc. i have played with cats and don't mind them, if they're the right ones.. none of the ones that are just mean. i still would take a good dog over a good cat anyday.

I like both..I like cats because they do serve a purpose..they "dispatch" gofers and other vermin without much destruction..at least mine does..very cool. I do like dogs..I have had mostly "Blues" and a few dingo/blue crosses..i would think that you would know what type of dogs they were....very loyal, very tough..probably the toughest dog i have ever seen..

In comment to the original photo posted, no, my Siamese/Russian Blue mix doesn't wear contacts. He probably also appreciates the comments on his eyes as well as I do on the photo despite the fact that someone apparently accidently uploaded a photo of my cat.

again, as I posted in the Photography thread, I posted the incorrect photo. That is not my cat, and I did not mean to take credit for it.

Tigger again, I am very sorry for my mistake. I truly didnt mean to try and take credit for your photo..

I know how annoying it can be to have someone steal pictures and say they took them, and honestly didnt mean to take "ownership" of your cat or photo.
