RE: Hurricane Gustav
When I lived in Ft. Walton Beach, I rode out Erin and Opal.........rough stuff, but the real problems were AFTER the 'canes rolled through. No electricity, no gasoline, no groceries, washed out roads, sand everywhere, trees down, etc, etc. Hell, the storm was nothing compared to the aftermath.[&:]

That is so true, enduring the storm is only the beginning, if you live. Then you meet reality, the part that is hard to understand, by watching tv. Being prepared is by far the most important. Yesterday I bought 70 gallons of fuel, food, water and what not, it helps lessen the misery. I been through many hurricanes and some that missed.
It should hit me by 6 to 8 pm today. I'll let you guys know what happens.

We got power today, less than a hour ago. We were fine, trees down around here but thats everywhere south of Alexandria. Denham got hit hard and Baton Rouge was hit even harder. Assumption Parish was the worst, they project at least a month before they get power.

If it goes to Texas, I hope it wipes out the majority and you know what majority I'm talking about.
