I've never seen that movie. I've caught it on TV a few times, but haven't bothered to watch it. Sorry.

The music from the trailer you posted sure sounds familiar. Does anybody know of a movie that has strangely similar, if not exactly the same, music? I know what it is, but I want to see if anyone can guess it.

I only saw parts of that movie, once when I was in junior high. I have no idea how I can remember the movie and the music that was in it from years ago.

Well my dad was a firefighter but he passed away 4 years back from a terrible house collaspe, but everytime I watch a fire truck go by I always get choked up because I still sometimes forget hes not on that truck.[]

I remember seing something on Nat Geo about the science behind Backdraft. I heard that they used rubber cement to make the fire/the first time they shot they actually needed the REAL guys to come and put out the fire [X(]. Guess they learned their lesson from there on out.

As for the movie, I thought it was good. Because I was kinda young and dumb when it came out, I never understood how the fire could shoot out like that. I still think the smoke going out from under the door and being sucked back is all hollywood though.

The reason for the smoke going under the door and then sucking back up is from the Oxygen inside the door is greater than outside the door due to the asorbtion of Oxygen particles rushing to the outside and then get sucked back inside from the amount of force and pressure at which the oxygen particles are traveling inside. I hope you understand what I mean.

I completely understand what you mean, refering back to the Nat Geo show, when the guy at the apartment opens the door and you hear the woosh.... Thats a backdraft, they are prety dangerously powerfull, as for the fire scooting on the floor, I think that is also possible with the floors being covered in super flamable stuff (varnish....). As for the creeking door, thats Hollywood prob
