HREs look...

Hey Lee,

yes, huge BMW fan here! Like my father. He has several BMWs (1, 5, and 7-series), incl. vintage ones.

Mmmh, 335d Coupe, you mean like this:

Nice Z4, Dante!! Did you say it is a 330 or a 335?

While the 335's twin-turbo engine might be stronger, it is hard to beat the N/A throttle response.. so either one seems to make sense.. just wonder which one you picked!!

The BMW Diesels are the best and most refined, IMO.
Mine is a 3 litre inline 6 with 197hp and 300 lb-ft of torque with manual transmission.
Its running 32mpg and is loads of fun. I will never buy a petrol car again for a daily driver.
Of course it lacks the sweet sound and high revs of a petrol inline 6, but the low and midrange punch is hard to beat.
In normal driving conditions a diesel is faster than a pertol equivalent, just because of the massive torque.

BMW has brought the 335d to the US last year (auto tranny only): http://www.edmunds.com/insideline/au...09bmw335d.html
You should try one one. Its awesome!

Hey LB,
mine is a Z4 Sdrive 30i. Its N/A. The 35i was a bit over the edge for me.
Did I tell you 35i before?

Nice.. ! Yeah, in one of your e-mail, I thought you said 35.. but to be honest with you, unless we are living on a race track, it is hard to use all that horsepower... (but I guess you do have Autobahn.. ha ha!)

Woops! I did wonder why you mentined twin turbo engine... [&:]

Well, I drove both 30i and 35i and the 35i of course is quicker. But the 258hp are enough for me and didn't justify the premium for the twin turbo.
You should come over here and bring your GT3, Autobahn really is fun!

I love a German who owns Beemers, means they can actually drive
Then theres that great pleasure of hunting down a Merc and destroying it on the motorway

1992 GSXR 750 Oil Cooled (last of the good gixxers )

When I brought home in Feb or march

Ditched the ugly ares under fender and made my own. Got read of 3 or 4lbs off of the rear and it cleaned it up alot.
