Back from Mexico. I think it's really time for me to consider a move to a Caribbean country. [&o]

Nice ive been way to lazy and cheap to get tires so I have just been driving my other car in the meantime lol.

I am going to work overtime for a couple months and buy a motorcycle. Gas is too $$$

I almost did a few years back when gas first spiked. But given how people drive around here, it didn't seem wise. Would be nice for the gas though.

as long as you buy a cheap usedbike it makes sense.

a couple of years ago a guy i know bought an $8k vespa to save on gas, yeah that makes sense.

I mean it's not 100% to save gas I have wanted one for awhile. But yeah I want to spend about 3 grand, doesn't need to be anything fancy. Since I am going to grad school I figure it actually would be handy as well.

I'm happy enough with 5 spd, 4 cylinders and proper engine maitenance. Not as good of mileage as a bike but I stay dry in the rain

Same here, couldnt be without my creature comforts [8D]

Well after a mammoth building session, the chassis rails are built, the axles are built and the gearbox is in, time for bed!

No the car isn't that extreme any more, the front end was binding up a lot [:'(]

decided to re-do the car before I head to Florida again on the 11th. Got to love when stuff goes how you planned it... makes life so much easier

yeah! The slant chassis was slanted to much {originally it was NOT for a shaft driven crawler... well now it is on one} so whatever, I am going to my original one but IT will be orange also Got to love all the stuff you can dye. It should look pretty snazzy when done tho

Thanks, you can call me Calvin or CPD {custom parts dude } either works...

How did I dye it, pixie dust, some luck and patience... no I just used a pan with some RIT dye {I guess about 3/4 of a gallon of water to 1 pack of dye, I wanted it concentrated} I soaked the parts in there till the color I wanted was reached. IT was "about" 30 minutes but I like to do everything at once to keep it more "even."

I used white Delrin and it dyes nicely, I love to machine it... mmmm big chip loads

Nice, I like doing my own work for my self but that's just because I am only doing work for my self...

Time to re-assemble the car with the dyed chassis plates and maybe mock up an upper or two

We have been thinking about building some scalers here, just no clue what platform to start with! looking to do trails, mud, some light to moderate crawling, etc. Basically an exact 180 from the racing scene we are in to encourage me and her to go on more hikes and woodland adventures haha
