RE: What do YOU think is the all-time BEST LOOKING car/truck/SUV?
Ooh! I think this is the most replies I've got on any of my threads!
I like that Ferrari 288 GTO, But I still prefer Ferraris with more curvy lines on the front end, rather than the straighter ones on the 288 GTO. Some BWM's are kinda mixed, as in the front end lines are curved, but with straight-line accents, like the Z4. Not sure if that descries it, but I like the look of the Z4.
And maybe it would be better to split this thread into different categories. if it in two price ranges, then there could be under 75K USD (new price) and 75K and above (new price) or under 50k, 50k to 100k, and above 100k for three price ranges.

I think i saw one of those in a magazine once. It was black. I remember the front fender and the (exhaust? tubes coming out the side). I agree, it is a pretty nice looking car.

traxxaspede...first of all, congrats on your record. Secondly, I haveto disagree with you (kinda). The 288GTO is one of my all-timefavorite cars. I think that the flame surface styling on the Z4 (whatBMW calls it) is gorgeous, but the straight and aggressive lines on the288GTO are timeless and sleek. The whole thing is just sexy andaggressive. It's obviously a sports car, but it's SO beautiful thatyou can pull it into a black ties and tails event next to a RollsPhantom and not look out of place. However, if you pull up in a GTOJudge you're sure to get weird looks.
To be honest, I own a Z4. It's identical to this car. However, rightbefore I got this car...my parents and I were honestly considering a1986 Ferrari 328 and I would have preferred it. The only reason wedecided against the 328 (which I think has similar lines to the 288)was functionality. How was I going to leave my 328 in the parking lotat college? I think they're both beautiful cars....but I'm almostafraid that the Z4 will go out of fashion before long. I hope it'slike the BMW 507 in the sense that it's timeless. OH! The 507 will bemy addition! I just think there are too many to just pick one.

Sorry to just "butt" in here, just giving my opinion. I can't see how muscle cars could be called "pretty" That mustang above this post for example. I just dont see it as pretty, dont get me wrong (I drive a mustang and I love them) But i dont think ther're very nice to look at as the Exotics. The Astons,Pangani,Ferraris. They just dont have those nice curves and "love" lines. Just thought I'd give my opinion here. I'm really surprised that no one has mentioned Alfa Romeo....espcially you Foxy living in Europe and all

OK Peter (xtfreak), lets have a couple of Alfa Romeos...
Alfa Brera, and its convertible brother, the Spider.
By the way, the Brera is officially the second most beautiful car in production after the DB9.

And the mother of all Alfa's, the limited edition 8C Competizione... If I remember rightly, this car costs more than the lamborghini.

Two more contenders, both Aston Martins again... 1998 V8 volante and 1977 V8 Vantage. Man, whatever they pay their body designers, it isn't enough.

DAMN! I knew there was one I was forgetting...
I want to change my vote... I prefer this to the DBR9...
Porsche GT1. I could die happy if I owned one of these...

I think we can all agree on one thing, this is not the best looking car...
It's cool and I'd use one as my daily driver if I could find one, but it got beat with the ugly stick. VW THING!
Anybody have one they'd like to give me?
Gotta love that license plate!

That cracks me up. According to what? Magazines? In that case no one should ever buy a Camaro or Charger anymore as they prefer the Mustang. A poll? OK according to a bunch of people I don't even know.

By and large, people say that the Aston DB9 and the Alfa Brera are two of the officially most beautiful cars in the world, due to the frequency with which they are voted for in polls generally, not any specific one. The Brera particularly has won design awards from Art and cultural institutions outside the motor industry, such as the D&AD awards, as did the DB7 before the DB9.
Thanks for another outstanding contribution though. As you can probably tell, I've finally gotten tired of you disagreeing with everything I post for no apparent reason for the last month or so. You can stop now, if you'd like. I'd be grateful.
@-J-, yeh, it's really pretty, but something about it just doesn't sit well with me. I think it's either too retro or not enough. It looks like the designer couldn't make his mind up between Ferrari or E-Type. It is nice though, no question, and a serious car. Once again though, like all Alfa's you buy them for looks, not the way they drive, which is distinctly average. They say that equivalently priced supercars to the competizione, are far better to drive. Shame, but hey, they aren't pretending, they know they're in it for eye candy.
