RE: what type of music?
What type of music? Hmm, lots.
Good Hip Hop, like CYNE, P.O.S., Big Quarters, Atmosphere, Kero One, Heiruspecs, Nujabes, Shing02, Abdominal etc etc.
IDM, House, Trance, Progressive, Electro, DnB, Trip Hop, all that kinda stuff.
I like some Indie Bands, Band of Horses, Arcade Fire, and Minus the Bear are my favorites
And ofcourse all the classics, [link=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WG67dJUPzn4]this[/link] being one of them [8D]
But yeah, mostly Hip Hop though

RE: what type of music?
Almost everything.
A lot of people say they listen to "a bit of everything" but truth be told they don't.
In my vinyl collection you'll find the likes of
Johnny Cash,
BeeGees,
Abba,
Iron Maiden,
Manowar,
ZZ TOP,
Rod Stewart,
lots of dodgy 90's Italio disco,
Bob Dylan,
Pink Floyd,
Jethro Tull,
Carole King,
Diana Ross and much much much more.
Then there's the 400+ 12inch singles of hard house, trance, techno etc.
The MP3's on our computer include stuff like
Morcheeba,
Massive Attack,
Tom Jones,
Groove Armada,
Biohazard,
The Cure, Sisters Of Mercy,
Snoop Dogg,
Dr Dre,
Beastie Boys,
Ministry,
Rage Against The Machine
Last concert I went to was Jeff Wayne's War Of The Worlds. (If you don't know it - look it up. It's awesome and still sounds as good as it did 30 years ago)
I make my own music on the computer as well.
I believe that there is a time and place for all kinds of music.
There's no bad music - just the wrong people listening.
That said - RnB never did much for me.

Well I like rock, Heavy rock, Metal. Anything heavy as long as I can understand what they are saying. I absolutely hate classical and country.

Might change your mind about country.
But probably not.
Funny though.

RE: what type of music?
I used to be really into death metal. Despised Icon, Disfiguring the Goddess, and I Declare War were my favorite bands. Not nearly into it as much as I was before, but I still listen to that genre every once in a while. I mostly stick to Hip Hop and IDM though nowadays
No idea at all what theyre saying, but it does sound pretty cool, you gotta admit. I wouldnt mind knowing how to do that. It'd be a neat party trick, and it'd come in handy on Halloween
I look exactly like the dude in the back, for anyone on RCU wondering what feo looked like, bwuahaha [8D]

RE: what type of music?
Haha death metal is awesome.
So much energy.
Been to a few concerts back in the day.
The machine gun speed kickdrums and throaty roar and a mass of long hair on stage.
People always complain that "You can't hear what they're singing" but that's not what death metal is about.
The "vocals" are more like another instrument, if you like.
Has there been a "show us what you look like" thread here before?
Maybe we should do it?
Or are everyone too shy....?

I didnt know you liked Death Metal! Ahhh! I love your taste in music DP! Whatd you think of the vid I put up? The guy in front, Big Chocolate, super cool fellow. I talk to him online every once in a while. He recently performed in Russia [X(]
And there was a "Show us what you look like" thread. Too lazy to dig it up though. I see you made a new one. You might catch flak for that, idk.

RE: what type of music?
I have one of those cliche death metal band tshirts like the guy in the background. Except mine is in yellow font on a purple t shirt. And the back says F-ing Bow Down in the death metal font, being the only single that the band released. Yellow death metal font on the front and back, its quite loud, haha.

I kinda prefer hip hop with more lyrical content though if you know what I mean. Stuff that you really gotta listen to. Sage Francis, Sole, Cecil Otter, B Dolan, etc. Sole is pretty depressing though. I cant really stand listening to his stuff too long.
Sig thanks to Cecil Otter:
