Moving from PA back to SoCal! W00t!
So, after getting a good offer in our home here in Pittsburgh, we are moving back to SoCal. We are leasing a nice 4BR3BA home in Southern Temecula to get started and then we will buy a place when we decide where to settle down.
Woohoo! Now I will have a lot more places to bash again! I love Pittsburgh, but I am happy to go back to SoCal that we left in 05 for a job opportunity here.

Ah, SoCal has its many +'s and -'s. I am looking forward to the beach and more wide open spaces to run RC in. Plus, the Palomar Track is only about 10 mins from the new house.

Yeah, Cal-ee has alot of pros and cons. Great place for bashing for sure, beaches for miles and tons of people to bash with. Also, alot of aftermarket makers are in Cal-ee. So, you can get alot of your stuff locally!
So-Cal, especially Ventura and Orange counties have a ton to do, so even if you get burnt out on RCs (if that is possible), LA and all that have a to9n of stuff to do.
The only things I dont like about Cal-ee are the very high costs of living, the very expensive car registration costs, and other associated taxes and costs of living there. That and the population crowding of some places are not appealing, at least to me. Some might like that, but I prefer the mroe open spaces of the suburbs of the Cal-ee cities.

Thanks for all of the kind words dudes... ARC in Temecula you say? Awesome, I will check it out. Palomar had an awesome track... I wonder what happened. Must have been all of the plane guys hating on the car guys.
I just bought an AWESOME covered trailer today, Pace American 2000 model, 2600lb GVWR, great shape and all for $1250! It's a moving trailer to get to SoCal but then it will be a pit trailer. w00t! So far, so good, the move preparations are going well.
I lived in SoCal from 98-2000 and then 2002-2005, so I am pretty familiar with it. You complain about registration and taxes in Cali, I tell ya, these Northeastern states have you beat. Property taxes are unreal here.

Taxes ARE a killer here. I wouldn't blame anyone for leaving. Seems like the only jobs that have you set are being in government or a public school teacher. The teacher's union has the property owners in their iron grip.

I can't stand it here in California personally and can't wait to move.
The cost of living kills anything that might be a positive of living here.
