That S2000 with the LMs look awesome. Maybe you should lower your ride foxy with the new rims since you dont have to pay anything for the rims.

The thing about lowering is that at this time, at stock ride height, I scrape the front left side of the bumper as I go down into my underground garage. The car on the LMs is lowered around 2.5-3 inches, which is the ideal drop for aesthetics for the S, but is totally unfeasible for me. Having said that, there is a spring kit which will dump my car just 1" front and rear, and it's better than nothing, I'm looking into getting them. I may then need to fabricate some additional ramp pieces at the bottom of my driveway, but I'd be alright with that. Basically, I had previously said I wouldn't be lowering the car, but I've realised I'm just gonna have to, I can't leave it like a freakin Jeep forever.

Time to sell some more RCs if I want to get some new rims?!
We will see.. wouldn't mind paint the stock one black.. that would be a good contrast vs. the white exterior... !

I'm sure it would be properly awesome. If you want to post a pic of your car, I'll photoshop your wheels black for you so you can get a preview.

Not sure. Few days, maybe then a couple of weeks to get tires and they'll be on. IF I go through with it. I'm kinda fond of the slipstreams. If I do lower it, they'll look a lot better as well. Tough call...

i like the ones you have now the best, but then again what do i know???
i know what you mean about the scraping though. everything in greece and cyprus is like that. i like watching the guy next door trying to not scrape the bottom of his ferrari 360 modena while he is driving into their underground garage.

Although I've always thought something like these look good on the right car, albeit their color is probably better suited for track use, a set in gunmetal would be nice for street use. However, there is a new wheel manufacturer born everyday, and a plethora of great looking wheels are on the market now, so it's hard to look at one brand considering all the wheels on the market. They even have a magazine dedicated solely to wheels.

Not to mention the unlimited aftermarket potential.

I'm curious as to what Honda has up their sleeves to replace it though considering they dropped the NSX a while ago, and they finally dropped the S2K after talking about dropping it for years.

Probably nothing for a while. They've dropped any superfluous activities to try to survive this economy.

Well, I contacted the seller and told him I'll be going for the JDM wheels. I then went round the forum trying to find a better pic of the wheels so I could show you guys. I found a picture of a car the same color as mine, with the same wheels, but in gunmetal colour, so I just photoshopped them black, and here they are... Personally, I love the look, and knowing that I have one of the lightest wheels around is cool.

Looks very nice!
Do you have the spec on those wheels? i.e., how much do they weight? how wide are they? etc. (we know it is 16" diameter)

Sure...
Front 16x6.5 et55 and will take a 205/55/R16 tire (215 is possible, but 205 is what Honda put on this wheel). Front wheel weight is 13.3lb
Rear 16x7.5 et65 and will take a 245/45/R16 tire (225 is stock from Honda, but the Potenza S02s the car was supplied with have the tireprint of a 245. One of very few 225s with this characteristic, it is well known that when replacing with another brand, you need 245s). Rear wheel weight is 14.3lb.
Compare those weights with my slipstreams, which are 20lb and 22lb respectively. The also understand that the tires on my slipstreams are 225/245R17, so tires will be a couple of pounds lighter each as well.
Just with the wheel change I'll be saving average 9lb per corner (36lb total) of unsprung mass. The effect on rotating mass should be quite dramatic.
