I managed to get super glue in my eye.
I was scraping dried superglue off the bottom of my kitchen sink and I managed to flick a tiny bit right into my eye..
The superglue is one thing.. The bacteria at the bottom of my sink that went in with it is a whole other thing...
All those years of being careful and now i'm going to be blind by the end of the week! :P
I tried cleaning my eye out with a few drops of visine and forced my eyes to tear up a lot.. But I think its now lodged behind my eye as I can't feel it anymore but I didn't feel it come out..
GRrrrrrrrr.. that's what I get for trying to clean something..

Argh that doesn't sound good.
However I do believe that you would know if it was stuck behind your eye....
If it was only a tiny piece, it is possible that it's out already, and you didn't feel it come out.
Also, sometimes things bounce off the eyeball but it still makes a tiny scratch, making it feel like there's something still in there.
I'd still get it looked at first thing in the morning though.
Regardless of how it feels.
Your eyes are pretty important.
Hope it's ok.

Dude, superglue is cyanoacrylate (hence it is often referred to as CA). It contains a cyanide derivative. Cyanide makes you blind. Get it looked at, seriously.

RE: I managed to get super glue in my eye.
i got some fumes in my eye from bonding tyres, that was
bad enough. it near burnt it [sm=omg_smile.gif] i could
only imagine getting glue in there.
if your ever using radiator flux beware. zinc chloride. not nice.
i used hydrochloric acid to clean up brass tanks and getting that
in your eyes was nothing compared to the radiator/solder flux.

LOL^
I get stuff in my eyes on a regular basis at work - even when wearing good safety glasses.
Go get it checked out and if you have Aflac insurance they will pay you nicely.

RE: I managed to get super glue in my eye.
Here's the MSDS for superglue.
http://www.imperialsupplies.com/msds0075480.shtml
Apparently there is no harm to the eye from any chemical from dried superglue. Even if you get the liquid glue in your eye they only reccomend that you flush with warm water and the glue will come out of it's own accord in a day or so.
I'm no doctor so do not take that as any kind of reccomendation to do nothing. Further, if it were me and I felt any kind of irriatation in that eye at all then I'd go to an eye doc (opthomologist not an optometrest).
