RE: Bacon
LOL....saw a tv show the other day..criminal minds. I forget the characters' names, but the blond girl with the glasses that handles all the computers was sitting with this real geeky looking guy who was trying to get her to eat a bacon wrapped donut...All I could think of while watching that scene was this thread....

tommygun, I remember that episode. The girl you're talking about is Penelope Garcia btw.
Bacon wrapped BBQ shrimp sounds really good. It's been a few days since I've eaten pig, tomorrow I'll have to indulge in some.

ah...Penelope...thanks Sheo. that was an intense episode [sm=what_smile.gif] and if I remember correctly, that scene was the ONLY light hearted scene in the entire plot....

I haven't had bacon in a few days but I got my pig fix from some nice Chinese stir fried garlic pork last night. It was really lean, goes to show meat doesn't have to be fatty to be good. All depends on the quality of the cut. People in the US are too used to bad quality unhealthy meat if you ask me. Meat isn't the enemy, fatty nitrate and sodium filled processed meat is. Good cuts from well farmed and healthily fed animals are best.

ive also heard of badly raised meat tasting bad and have high levels of toxins, because the animal is more stressed out, and even the way of death is a factor of toxins going into the flesh.... thinking about meat in this matter makes me feel bad, hmm, this burger will clam my nerves

im sorry but i dont like my meat tasting like a salt lick[:'(] and sometimes they add coloring and scent to the beef, what the hell? true, there are fats that are easily digestible and have good qualities to them like omega 3 and stuff.

Last night's dinner:
grilled chicken breast with a mix of Jerk Chicken and "Slap Ya Mamma" rub with olive oil served on a crusty toasted hogie bun with dijonnaise, lettuce, tomatoe, cheddar cheese, caramelized onions, avocado and 3 strips of smoky bacon cut in half and piled high.
YUM-OH!! [8D]

I spent the weekend in Tahoe, boating and lounging on the beach with martinis. I got my pig fix this afternoon from a giant carnitas burrito
