I have been looking at cars for a while now trying to figure out what I want next. Nothing really excites me though kinda sad really. I think I may go back to Subaru and get a used Forester XT and have fun modding that.

I like both. In fact I'm looking to buy a C4.
Wow, people usually laugh when I say that. Always wanted one or both myself. I also love the Buick Grand National, but those are harder to come by than a C4 or fox body. Finding a decent one for a price that isn't near that of a new car is hard. Actually, the earlier comment about there being no good American cars after a certain date is one I've heard a lot, but most people forget about the Grand National. Granted, it was just one model and wasn't made that long, which is usually why people don't mention it.
I know a guy whose been through 3 GNs. There is no shortage of them here, and they aren't that expensive. I'll probably get one eventually.

There was an '02 WRX for sale here a while ago. It was set up for an LS1/T56 and had a Thunderbird 8.8" rear diff.

RWD.

Why would anyone want an LS1 in a WRX? I know they make cheap power, but it kind of destroys the soul of the car. Like swapping a beetle or an RX-7. I dunno, it's probably just me.

Personally, I have no interest in either a transvestite (RWD) or a castrated (FWD) Subaru. [&:] AWD!!!!!!

All the Grand Nationals around here are either ruined DDs or show cars. I've yet to find one in average shape at an average price. It's either a rolling wreck that somehow still runs, or has less than 5000 miles on it and rides around in a trailer.

Because some people find a challenge, and want to make something of it.

I hear ya... Actually that would be quite a challenge. I know very little about the LS1, including dimensions, but I wonder about the fitment of that engine. The flat four, is of course, very flat, and most Subaru models have a low hood. I mean if someone did it then it obviously fits, but wow.

Actually considering how far forward the engine sits, ThunderbirdJunkie could see it being done without any major sheetmetal surgery.

He'd like to build a small block Ford powered Audi 80/90 some day when he has more money than brains

That new Citroen is positively disgusting. Hopefully it's just a mockup.

There is someone who has one of the older ones near here, I'll snap a pic if I drive by it.

i just bought a new truck, but not a rc !

this truck is from the USA,(cluster in MPH) so i think thats why its so clean and rust-free ! 120 000 miles on it and running like a 2010 ! i guess thats why here(canada) cars are all rusted after 3-4 years of running in salty snow !

it will be a lot more usefull to carry my rc trucks to my bashing spots than the dakota i had before
