I had sooooo much fun with BF2, played it unpached on a no cheat, non ranked server with max 64 ppl. I would play as spec. ops and go to the enemy chopper spawn, since the pilots of the chopper would spawn before the chopper itself, I would place a satchel on the pad, hide and wait. They would come expecting to wait for the chopper to spawn but would get blown to bits and I would take off with their chopper. Then it was just a question of getting to my air field for repair and to pick up a gunner.

2142 was good but just not the same. The maps were to small and allot of glitches made it easy to rank up fast earlier on in the games life.

Bad company was also a good one, #2 was not as great.

If this compares to 2 then I think I might get a new tower sooner than I thought, I was waiting for Half-Life 2 Episode 3.

This game is being developed on the PC. So it will be way better than the console version. I cannot wait for 64 player chaos again!

I got in the alpha and it was fun, i really liked it but i hated bc2 so it was kinda strange.

Things i didn't like were the web browser server system, i want my in game server list.

Few gripes here and there about things and bugs that really need fixing but it was a closed alpha so not much to expect from it...

Downside to the alpha was a few big names where already cracking fb2 open, and then your typical cheat engine kiddie but aside from the cheater here and there it was alright, will defiantly buy as soon as i get some money...

The multiplayer will play differently. I think 64 vs 24 players is a huge difference.

There will be a ton of difference between the pc and console versions not just map player numbers tbh as you cant use win xp on bf3 it means it dx10/11 now the graphics will be so much better on pc too.
I enjoyed the alpha and bought MOH last year for the beta in sept,sent the last 4months building a system for bf3 now the wait lol

2. Launch bf3
3. Web browser opens
4. Asks for plugin
5. Install plugin
6. Restart browser
7. Launches website called "Battle Log"
8. Pick Server and play.

Now here are the two ways to play bf3 from this point.

Option A
1. Start origin
2. Launch bf3
3. Web browser opens
4. Launches website called "Battle Log"
5. Pick Server and play.

Option B
1. Leave web browser open
2. Find server and bf3 launches and joins server.

Seems weird looking at unfinished animations. I, for one, am glad they didn't mirror the weapons.

If I would have known about this when I preordered it at game stop I wouldn't have but oh well I don't play games on the PC only PS3 so oh well either way.  I'll wait till Oct to play.

Also it has mortars!  as a mortarman in the Marine Corps I find it to be an under utilized weapon in games, but it is "less" glorious.  but those people never have seen it in action in a fire fight in hand held or conventional.

Um. 1600x900, everything set to HIGH. Dont know if there is a VERY HIGH option though. Dont remember the AA setting either.

460m trades blows with the 5870m or lags just behind it.
