Well, on a glorious sunny friday morning, (yesterday) I had the best maiden I have ever had in my years of flying! It was also the most nervous I have ever been during a maiden voyage!
In typical fashion, all you really have to worry about on a maiden is how well your thumbs will work, how the equipment will perform, how good the design is etc.
Well, this maiden was different, I knew my thumbs wouldn't be an issue, I knew the equipment would perform flawlessly, and the design, well, nothing out there will ever match the design, the only variable was....
She could think for herself, and would she come back??????

Oh Shucks, you meanTHAT maiden - when I saw the header I thought it will be another story - must be my perverted Dutch ancestry - no hope for me....but at least it is a story with a happyending....

Nice to hear about your pet bird.
I have a flock of white geese and yes they can fly.
Last fall they didn’t come in from the river one night.
So I went to find them, I found out what the problem was. A huge flock of wild geese had stop for the night [must have been 10,000+ birds in the flock [a gaggle]]. My geese must have been scared of them because they swim up the river away from all the wild geese. I had never seen that many birds in person before and they where right behind my house. I was worried mine had joined up with some wild geese and then few south for the winter. But they didn’t and I doubt if they would, their too spoiled.

Birds never cease to amaze me,,,I've watched barn swallows fly at 6" above the ground and make near 90 degree turns to snare a moth,,,amazing. Hummingbirds are also fun to watch definitely natures helicopter. I think the true "top guns" belong to mother nature.
