Default Which Came First?

On another forum we somehow got off topic and on to the subject of Chickens. Just recently while having a beer with some friends we also got on to the subject of Chickens and more to the point, where they can be found. That lead us to the question of where they can't be found so see if you can come up with an answer.

Besides Antarctica and the North Pole, name one country or area on Earth where people live (nomads are excluded) and they don't have or raise Chickens. Give it some thought and just see if you can name one place.

We decided that the the lowly Chicken is the most unbiquitous animal on Earth.

The first chickens came from southeast asia. They spread to the Roman empire and got introduced to Europe about 50 BC. The Polynesians moved the chicken across the pacific, with them reaching South America about a century before Columbus.

My logic is; Don't you need to have a chicken to have an egg? Problem solved.
