Default guess what?

Would any of you like to show your knowledge of military aircraft by naming what this was at one time?

I know what it is.

French Mysterre? Uncertain about particular model or name spelling.

It almost looks like the F-84, if the nose was a little longer.

You're in the ball park. We have had this thing setting around for years. Cool to play on as a kid!

Sorry. You were closer with the Sabre F-86 ------------------ Hint....I have not seen a model of it anywhere. Doesn't mean there is not one.

One more guess. With the comments of the closeness of the F-86 guess, could it be a North American FJ-2, 3, or 4 Fury, very similar to the F-86? Never considered the A4 because of the blast tubes in the side of the fuse. The Skyhawk carried it's cannon in the wing roots.
I also was almost thinking of the F8U Crusader, but don't really see any indication of the large chin airscoop.

One more hint. No chin or nose scoop. Also, maybe I should clear up a little by saying the closeness to the F-86 was meant in years, i.e. time period.
