RE: Yak 54 65w/YS 110
I do think the 16 X 4 would not be quite enough propeller for the YS 110. I run a 16 X 6 APC on my YS 110 and get 10,000 rpm on the ground with 30% heli fuel. If you want to 3D the 16 X 6 is a good propeller. I'm just finishing up an OMP 65 inch Yak which also will have a YS 110. I plan to run a 16 X 6 APC on it also.

RE: Yak 54 65w/YS 110
Most of the guys I have talked with prefer the APC 16-6. The 4 pitch props don't move enough air over the surfaces to make them real effective. I just maidened my 65"Yak this morning. All I had to use was a Zinger 16-6 and it had plenty of thrust and I was running the engine dead rich. I do run 30% heli fuel in my YS's. Idle and transition is so much better on the 30% I won't go to anything else. I was hovering up high but it was still under half throttle. This plane is going to be fun!

I agree the 16 x 6 is the better prop. I also put a 16 x 8 on it and there was not much difference. The 8 gave it more verticle to each click of throttle. but also made the plane faster on the level. I just bought another 16 x 6 and I am going back to that. The 16 x 4 is not enough pitch. You will turn that mightyl beast into a 2 stroke. You are too high on the power curve.
