Default OMP 65" Yak YS 110 mounting

A friend built this kit for me, and got it to "ARF" stage for me to complete. I am mounting the engine, and the prop shaft is so far off center (laterally, towards the right) that it looks ridiculous. I can't find any errors that he made according to the instructions and plans. Is it supposed to look like the pic below (I added 2 small washers under the two forward mounting screws to give slight right thrust - even without them the prop shaft and thrust line is way off from center). What did I/he do wrong?

It seems that if the engine is mounted this way with no right thrust added, the plane would fly like it had left thrust since the thrustline is on the right of center.(?)

Thanks,
confused Kurt

That's how it's supposed to look. Don't worry it won't make the plane fly any different.

Kurt, You'll want a couple degrees right thrust. The use of shims is much better than washers.

Thanks, fellers. Where can I find shims of proper size for this application?

OMP has shims made of the same material as the tetherite landing gear. I think dubro also makes some nylon ones.

Yes, that is pretty much standard engine installation for profiles. It will fly great, trust us!
