RE: Ultimate 10-300 Engine
WESSCO
i have a 10-300,fist engine OS 91FX,great POWER as you already know, but just a little nose heavy, and i didn't want to cut a hatch in fuse father back for battery,i had a saito 100 to try out the engine mounting holes are the same, it balance perfect at the CG in plans, flies level when inverted with out no down elevator, you still have great power with the 100 at 6-1/4 lbs.the YS 110 is around 27.4 ozs. it would be a ROCKET! but you would have to move battery from stock location for the CG.
this plane has become my favorite
ENJOY!

I'm gonna hold off and fly it the way that it is. I've got a Chinn-Yak to build and just ordered a Boxxer to build as well. I need some more stick time with this plane as well.

RE: Ultimate 10-300 Engine
I've just gotten a Saito 1.25 for my Ultimate. It's the same bolt pattern as the OS fx that was on it. I hope to fly it with the new engine one day this coming week. Will report back.

RE: Ultimate 10-300 Engine
The Ultimate at around 6 1/4 lbs flies very well with the Saito 100. I've flown mine a lot with the OS .91 and Dale's with the Saito 100. Hands down the Saito 100 not only flies the plane great but the 4-stroke on the bipe makes for the complete package. I think the Saito 125 or YS 110 is way more power than you need. Save those engines for the bigger planes like the 67" Fusion!

I just got through running the Saito 1.25 on the plane. It has what feels like a ton more torque than the OS .91fx that was on it. Should be awesome in the air!

RE: Ultimate 10-300 Engine
Went to re-maiden the Ultimate today, with the Saito 1.25. It's definitely not lacking in power. I've never flown one with a Saito 1.00, but I don't want to. This is awesome. Now I've got to do a little repair work on the leading edge sheeting and replace some landing gear. That 12 oz. tank sure picked the wrong time to run out....
I'll post a video of the flight a little later on PB....

The wheels went through the sheeting. That's what happens when you land them just a little too hard. I've got the sheeting fixed, which brings me to a good point. I like the way the sheeting is on this plane. It's a whole lot easier to fix than if it was wrapped from one side to the other. The sheeting is fixed, just waiting on me to re-cover.

re-covered and waiting for the weather to clear. I will buy another one of these when I can better afford it. I don't want to be without one.
