I have been running AFPD on my notebook with Vista. I have heard the some people have had some problems with it but I am not sure if it was a problem with the program or possibly with their computer system. Vista is a problem for some people trying to upgrade older computer systems. It can appear that the program is running fine until you try to use a program that needs to run with some speed then the problems appear. When I loaded the patch file it would not replace one file but i have had no problems with running the program. It is a little slower on my notebook than it is on my desktop unit but I think that is caused by the fact that the notebook only has 1 gig of shared ram. On my desktop I am using a NVIDIA GeForce card and had great success with it.

Thanks Dale. Yes, AFPD runs fine on Vista but like Dale says, it seems Vista is causing other "growing" pains on computers that have attempted the upgrade. On new systems with Vista already installed the problems are minimal but each application is unique and some pose their own challenges. Problem with big brother Microsoft is every dang thing on the PC interacts with everything else. What a mess! Anyway, AFPD does run fine. Follow the instructions on the Ikarus website.
