Default New Planes or Arfs comming

Hey Mike,
Can you tell us if there is anything new comming out?

How about if one of your Profile kits can handle a 50 besides the Hybrid.

I am almost finished up on my second hybrid all i have left is to finish the leading and trailing edges of one wing panel and then on to covering.

Good question and wish I had the answer. Seems like we can't even get a straight answer ourselves these days but this seems to be a problem throughout the industry right now. Many things including the Olympics are causing issues with Chinese manufacturing. regardless we do have many kits in stock and the 80" profiles have been known to handle a 50cc engine. However you definately want to take that into account when you build and strengthen as needed. I'm actaully looking for a good gasser candidate for my 80" Fusion right now.

Will the fusion 3D as well as the hybrid?

If so I may try that one next with a DL 50.

Mike,

I'm thinking of a Brillelli 46 for mine. Gotta love that beam mounting!

Just haven't gotten around to much building lately between working, flying, and coaching the kid's soccer team. I hate stopping and starting a build cause that's when I make stupid mistakes so I've set it aside until I know I have a good building window to work in. Sorry to hear about the troubles in the production line. Shout out when those 80" Edge ARFs come in, I want my name on one.

Craig,

I've flown the 67" Fusion a ton and it will definitely 3D. It's a different feel since the plane is also built for pattern style performance (tracks on rails, HAKE is freakin' unreal) but it's 3D's great. If the big one does the same, it is gonna be a blast!! I haven't flown the Hybrid but I have a 79" OMP Yak and I'm guessing the Big Fusion will rock right along with it.

Are you asking about the 80" Fusion? No way you could put a DL50 on the 67" Fusion. That would be like stuffing a 350 V8 in a go cart! But on the 80" profiles there have been 50cc engines stuffed in the nose. It just requires some prethought on the engine mount area while you are building it.

Thanks Bill, I might have to take a closer look at that B46 engine.

Hi. My big Fusion is framed up. I'm going with a Moki 210. This is a great build and should come in at 10-11 LBS. DA50 might be overkill. Nice kit Mike. Jim

Thanks Jim! 10-11 lbs should be very impressive with that engine. Looking forward to the pics and report.

I too have a B46 looking for a home - this looks like a good candidate. I am thinking it could weigh 12 - 13 lbs. Is that reasonable?

Very reasonable. From my reading the specs the gasser option should add about 1 1/4 lbs over a comparible glow powered version. So if you figure 11 1/2 lb glow model then the gasser version should be under 13 lbs. That's super light for a 45 cc gasser.

At that weight the wing loading comes in around 22 - very nice. Downloaded the video and it looks great.

Gotta ask, is there any plans to make this an ARF?

YES. Next on the list right after the current model situation is resolved.

That's awesome to hear, Mike!

Sorry to hear about all the mess with the current shipment. maybe once the olympics get done, things will get back to normal. I've got the tail feathers finished on mine and have started on one of the wings. It's a much easier build than I thought, I just hate sheeting stuff so I'm taking my time to get it just right (that and it's flying time so building takes a back seat!)
