Step up.
Started up with the Vapor, then the Micro Cessna 210, then the Super Cub, then the micro P-51, then the BF109, then the Nitroplanes P-51 55" with retracts, then I've got the G5 Realflight Sim and I can do all kinds of aerobatics maneuvers even in difficult mode, so what would you guys think is a good plane to step up. I've been thinking about the PZ Extra 300, but my radio is the DX5e, is that a good idea?

RE: Step up.
Get a GWS Formosa Sport plane. Nice easy build experience and very fun to fly.
Here is my maiden.
Learn to soften your thumbs on your sim before you fly.

RE: Step up.
Formosa is a pattern type of plane. If you are looking for the 3D type of flying, might not be what you want. Now if you are looking for a plane that tracks like it is on rails, does every pattern maneuver in the book, can take retracts, the Formosa is going to be FUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have mine setup with retracts and a gear Himaxx2025 spinning a 11X6 prop on a 1750 3s Rino pack. She is a little heavy, but she fly's very well. I moved the elevator and rudder servo to the back because of the weight of the geared setup.
Buzz.

RE: Step up.
id say step up to a dx6i for your tx i love mine and get a balsa plane eflights kits are great balsa flyes alot better than foam. I had the 260 480 from eflight i was in love with that plane unfortinaly i lost it to a servo malfunction. If you do decide on this plane DONT use eflights servos.

What about getting a DX7 and a 3DHS edge 540, is that kind of doable after been flying the Messershmitt, wich I think is one of the most difficult park flyers to land.

Wow, that's an impressive growth curve, airman! I'd say you're about ready to captain the Space Shuttle now.
I started by crashing micro 51's. Took a "backstep" and am doing swimmingly on the baby T-28. Upgrading to the twin PZ "Mossy" Mosquito next. With Drs. Wheel and AC-15 and a couple other dudes in our corner, we cannot go wrong.

I like th e Edge and DX7 setup..That is supposed to be a great plane and I think you`ll like how a balsa plane flies compared to what you have flown..The DX7 you can grow with and have for years..I would put his Omega in the Edge as most people say it needs more than a Park 480 and the guy told me that as well...I wanted one myself just couldn`t wait until they got in stock...and it uses your 2200mas to keep your cost down..

RE: Step up.
Well, this is what I would use, but this isn`t in stone just me. I would just use his motor, the Omega because you know it works and mounts up ok and the price is good. I one of those that thinks the cheap motors are fine but, others will disagree. For the ESC I would use a Castle Creations Thunderbird 54..A 11x5.5 prop. and Hitec 65 servo...metal gear or not your choice. Part of the benefit of running a popular plane is copying other guys stuff. I look on the web and actually have copied the entire setup. I want to say Rc groups has a Edge thread .. Use 3dhs 41" edge as a search and you can find it..Those guys know more than me about that plane....good luck...
