Im still learning setups for planes but can you explain the physics and advantages of the dual prop in different directions?
It is to reduce torque.
I did it mainly because i've never seen it done to a slow stick before. As well with the other mods i've done to this one. Retracts,..swept wing and horizontal stab. etc...
svo - Love the contra rotating. I've toyed with doing this. How do you like this set-up?
It is awesome. Not too much power, but enough.
It also sounds really cool especially if you chop throttle while in a dive,..one motor stops spinning before the other and it makes a really weird sound for a few seconds.
The tricky part was mounting it nicely. I ended up using a modified gws plastic mount and also a PVC cap cut down.
This slow stick usually gets a lot of attention at the flying sites I go to. every bit of it has been modified or changed from its stock configuration.
