just wondering if the acro 280 would fit the slow stick gearbox and if it would provide more power then the stocker.

If you are refering to the 280BB motor, then yes, it will. I have done this several times with the GWS EPS-300C gearboxes used on a Slow Stick. The drive shaft is a bit thinner so you'll need to CA the pinion gear in place for a good hold.
Keep in mind that the 280BB motor is hotter (higher Kv) and is happy up to 10amps. With this in mind, prop accordingly and be certain that your flight pack can handle 10amps output.
Good luck!

greg,
i have a jetti 110 speed control and 7 cell nickel metal batt.
they are 1300mah and run the 300c good. will i benefit from putting the 280bb on in place of the stocker? i just don't think the 300c has enough power. What size prop would you suggest?
i think this would be cheeper then a brushless and another speed control. i just want something that has plenty of power and will last.
