RE: GWS P-51 NEWBIE
The P-51 likes speed. Depending on your experience, I would recomend getting something like a high wing slow flyer before trying to fly the P-51.
You may want to turn your caps lock off. Typing in all caps is considered yelling, and it's not as easy to read.

RE: GWS P-51 NEWBIE
I have read alot of negative replys about the GWS P51. I have one and have almost 25 flights on it. It is setup with stock motor and 9x7 gws prop. Battery is 9.6v 800mah. i get 9-10 min flight times. No landing gear just belly land in the grass. You need some low wing sport plane rc experience and be sure and balance it a little nose heavy. Also i only have about a 1/4" elevator movement. Always hand lanch it. Good Luck

RE: GWS P-51 NEWBIE
I quadruple the trainer first. I would suggest the EStarter then the P-51 if you don't have aileron experience.
I like the P-51 but it's not the best flying GWS warbird. I have an Astro 010 14 turn, with stock gearbox and 9x7.5 APC prop and 3S Thunder Power pack I got exactly 61:21 flying time. Flew the first 1/2 hour at half throttle then the last half one click over half throttle. Flew fast enough to do rolls and loops with shallow dive. Now I have the B gearbox in it and am experimenting with props.

RE: GWS P-51 NEWBIE
I also have and love my GWS P51. One of the best looking RC Warbirds IMHO.
First, make sure you're comfortable with a slow aileron trainer (e-starter)
Second, build it "Light"! The lighter you build, the better your chances of success.
