Lest We Forget (Please click the picture.)

History is happening so fast that it is sometimes hard to get a handle on ways that might be useful to inspire possible positive visions for cultural progress using fighter planes as attention getting teaching aids. However, it is becoming increasingly obvious that the progress of truth against every form of tyranny against the mind of man is unstoppable! With airplanes truth actually matters, "fuzzy thinking" won't fly! Get it wrong you die! Here is a report on the Mosquito that shows limitations that further experimentation should be able to overcome.

More pitch than the APC 9 X 4.7 SF pusher and tractor props is needed at some point for operations between 6,000 and 10,000 feet density altitude for ideal performance in that altitude range. Very flexible stock or slightly reduced diameter 9 X 8 inch props should be able to accomplish the mission to qualify as "just fly at any altitude" capability props like most of my other WWII fighters that work very well with specific modified flexible props. I would also like to experiment with flexible three bladed props but have no hope that they could be useful above a mile high density altitude. I would love to be proved wrong. I learned the hard way that stiff props are a very bad idea to use with the Mossie.

The manager of the "Trail Ridge" souvenir/variety store at over 12,000 feet density altitude in Rocky Mountain National Park kindly allowed me to experiment inside the store to avoid the high winds outside. Earlier in the day the Mosquito flew somewhat precariously at just under 10,000 feet density altitude. Turned out that I did not have props in my collection that were useful at 12,000 feet.

Gotta wring out my new very impressive "Dallas Doll" now that the weather is breaking my way.

Out.
