Default Parkzone Focke-Wulf 190A-8 RC Park Flyer

Hey guys!

I finally got to maiden my FW-190 that I got for my birthday. I put together both an unboxing, maiden flight, and review video for those considering getting it and a video with just the maiden flight.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z5MLndAh7Pk http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TyQTzJfso4M Here are my review notes for this plane:

Cons:
- Elevator needs more throws; low rates did not provide enough elevator throw
- Rudder and steerable tail-wheel out of sync
- Not available in Plug and Play option

Pros:
- Lands well in grass
- Amazing detail and paint finish
- Rolls well on low rates
- Loops well on high rates

Good show. Nice landing. You confirmed my prediction about the 190's landing ability. I could easily buy one of those beautiful butcher birds myself if communicating with other fighter plane enthusiasts were to become a reality - given recent history I'm not holding my breath. PZ almost always gives us more than we pay for, especially with its big Park Flyer Fighters.

The included first URL below brings up my thread on the 190 that I was in the process of getting all psyched up about before hackers and their fifth column sympathizers got my post (#5) with information about a model airplane friendly hydrogen power system removed from the thread. That post now appears back on the thread on my PC, but unless someone tells me otherwise I will assume that like my magnetic field inventions that only show up on my PC, my hydrogen reactor invention is still blocked off from everybody else as well.

Yes, the web is becoming increasingly useless for me. I just recently found that my stuff is pretty much being cleaned off search engine results. We may be surrounded at the moment, but the surrounders are surrounded by the unstoppable "fire" of truth that will win in the end.

Thank you sir and I am glad you were right!

This video shows an even better look at this plane after I made some adjustments to it post-maiden:

Comrade GBLynden , SURPRISE, SURPRISE! Guess who just slipped in on your six with a brand new Focke-Wulf 190! Yes, compliments of your relentless enthusiasm and RCU's recent restoration of one of my 190 posts I couldn't resist buying my very own PZ Butcher Bird. With the exception of my poor cross wind landing after my first flight, both of my maiden flights were very satisfying. This beautiful machine is now fine tuned with a slightly modified realistic scale looking 13X8 three bladed prop that provides virtually the same performance as its ACP 13X 6.5 E prop cut to 12.5 inches does, though pulling higher amperage. The 40 Amp ESC is mounted so that cooling air can easily flow around its entire surface to exit three (3) holes in the tail end of the plane. There was no evidence of overheating in spite of the high thrust performance during the two flights of the landing gear and drop tank equipped ship.

Thanks for your movie, congratulations on your good landing. I bent my gear slightly further forward
and modified the wheel covers slightly to improve handling over grass. I love this airplane. As soon as a forum administrator responds to my request to make some necessary corrections I will be responding to other information you have provided. At the moment I wonder if any administrators have even received my messages to them given that over a week has passed since I sent my requests - no action has been taken!

Out.

The beauty of this piece of historic flying art is being thoroughly enjoyed! Thank you very much for your continuing enthusiasm and kind words! When my work of advertising culturally relevant modeling finally begins to pay off you can count on me to buy at least one more of these beauties to be used as a dedicated "belly lander." It would be equipped with one of my "just fly at any altitude automatic variable pitch props" like what is being used on my PZ Thunderbolt and Corsair belly landing fighters. At the moment this "Butcher Bird" enjoys really great performance with an impressive three bladed prop and a 40 Amp ESC with trainer like stability and F-15 like vertical performance! Looking forward to dropping bombs and tanks soon as needed parts arrive.

One more possibly useful idea - the instruction book drawing showing the center of gravity is wrong. Easiest way to get the CG right is to balance on the two back outboard screw heads of the landing gear using thumbs or fingers.

Good luck!

Out,

Thank you! I found that using a Gforce 2200 mAh 3S battery gives me near perfect CG in all of my Parzone Parkflyers so far and they are only about $15 each

ACHTUNG: Important tip - the tail wheel is adjusted by first removing the wheel in order to insert a Phillips head screwdriver straight up the aft hole to first loosen, adjust tail wheel tracking, then tighten the screw to hold the wheel straight.

I found out that the red tabs are scale examples of factory adjusted trim tabs that free the pilot from trim adjustments. One source said the pilot still trimmed the elevator.

Looking forward to flying with newly developed high performance three bladed props and dropping my drop tank.

Rolling in to attack and fight for the fatherland now.

Out.

Field marshal GBLynden, thank you very much for your continuing positive influence!

Our 190 is very visible under beautiful sunny conditions with some slight white haze that tends to hide my Spitfires in back to back flights of the two adversaries. Given the tendency for hot weather to influence dangerous heating situations I am tempted to install a telemetry system to monitor temperature, battery voltage, and just for fun, altitude. Needing a lot of ROG landing practice it would be nice to precisely know what the battery voltage is; and in hot weather, to know when to pull back the power to keep from damaging anything.

Thick grass the other day and a down draft at the FW's point of touch down on landing yesterday humiliated me rather badly. After repairs and adjustments I am looking forward to better landing performance with the FW. My revolutionary receiver equipped Spitfire has spoiled me with it's 100% perfect record of never flipping over. Flying these planes together helps me enjoy history as well as the reality of my piloting limitations.

Rolling in to attack now.

Out.

Finally got the 190 fine tuned for demonstration missions. The plane is trimmed to fly normally at "low rate elevator" position. At take off, "high rate elevator" is used until the drop tank is jettisoned after an "F-15 like" vertical take off and vertical roll followed by positioning the plane slightly up wind above my position. The drop tank usually ends up within 50 feet or so from the target area after being dropped from around 200 feet altitude.

Knife edge flight is easy to perform along with commentary about fighter pilot's use of such a maneuver to observe ground action without a wing being in the way. A four point roll is where inverted flight is demonstrated by extending the inverted part of the maneuver and calling attention to the planes orientation. Other combat maneuvers are also thrown in for some flying fantasy fighting fun.

Heat has not been a serious issue so far with the big three bladed forty (40) Amp prop in up to 75 plus degree weather. I'm checking out telemetry technology.

Aim High, Fly, Fight, Win!

Hey guys!

This is the third flight with this plane. I take-off and land off of grass in the wind in the video. After my first two flights went so well with this plane (both were caught on video), I waited to fly it again when I had someone there to video my next flight just in case things took a turn for the worst. You know, the law of averages?

My landing wasn't exactly perfect like the one on my second flight, but all in all I am pretty happy with how everything went, especially considering the wind and the cameraman's arms getting tired just when I adjusted to the windy conditions lol

I put together a video onboard my PZ FW190. Chasing some buzzards and having fun. There's a near mid-air collision with another plane about 2 minutes in. What a great bird!

gunnut, welcome to the modeling excitement that only a model of the very fighter type that shot down America's Mr. Right Stuff, the former Army Air force fighter Ace, the one and only General Chuck Yeager! Since some of his statements along with some neat airplanes appear on my Facebook News Feed from time to time, it seems only appropriate to share the joy. Fighter planes are having a positive effect in the world today and it's great to feel their influence!

You and GB are making the thread invaluable for now and in the future as a good reference source and I thank you very much for your video work.

Breaking off the attack now.

Out.

[Crediting him with his influence for my favorite "post signature statement about FIGHTERS" resulted in [from - RP] the following statement.] His original statement was: "Combat is the ultimate flying experience." THIS IS MY FAVORITE PICTURE OF THE GREATEST FIGHTER/TEST PILOT IN HISTORY! ENJOY!

Q: Did u ever fly the Corsair? How does it compare 2 Mustang? A: Yes. Mustang had much more range. Comparable in speed.

(B-17 picture and caption below "cut and pasted" from Chuck Yeager's post on my Facebook "News Feed")

CAF Airbase Arizona

Here is a full scale picture version of the "Park Flyer" model that I will be flying after my fighters help clear the way for a brighter future for modeling. My caption under the picture presents thoughts like my comments posted on Mr. Right Stuff, General Chuck Yeager's post on my Facebook News Feed (I was unable to get my PC to work right when I tried to go back and bring up the General's original post that mentioned the beginning of the bombing of Britain during WWII.)

The B-17 Sentimental Journey is at Northern Aroostook Regional Airport in Frenchville, ME. This influential WWII warbird will be on display to the public for tours and rides through August 10. Bring your friends and family to gain incredible insight into a warbird that played a fundamental role in WWII history. Call (602) 448-9415 for additional information and rides reservations. Richard Porter I got some fun pictures of me inside this B-17 pretending to be winning WWII. Yes, I sent copies around that resulted in some interesting developments. There is a growing market for WWII heroism that is in the process of inspiring America and the world to adopt the kind of values that made America the greatest country in history.

Hi, fans of the model of the only enemy fighter to ever shoot down Army Air Force "Ace in a day" fighter pilot Chuck Yeager. The same four (4) bladed prop I tested on the Corsair and the Spitfire is now mounted on the Focke-Wulf 190A Butcher Bird for up coming tests just to see how it compares with the other machines and, of course, that beautiful P-51 Mustang "Dallas Doll" that I can hardly wait to get my hands on.

Below are some comments that simply must be shared to spread the joy that can make modeling so relevant and meaningful in a world that could use the kind of inspiration that the greatest fighter/test pilot can provide - a real "Hard Core Hero!"

Richard Porter AMEN to all of the above! My "armada" of model fighter planes are a tribute to the heroism of General Chuck Yeager's courage and intuitive appreciation of demonstrable reality. ALL of my "air superiority fighters," even WWI ones are set up to fly an "F-15 like" vertical flight path immediately after take off. RCUniverse Park Flyers & Backyard Forum reports the action.
August 19

The above statement is true for all but my stock motor powered Mk II Spitfire that only flys during "Battle of Britain" celebrations. Still, it is capable of performing all of the maneuvers of the full scale machine. In all the excitement I forgot about this model's limitations.

Below is the latest and maybe greatest statement that I just posted on Chuck Yeager's web site. ENJOY!

General Yeager Sir, while flying combat over Germany during WWII did you and/or others you knew ever see any "Foo fighters?" I just ran across some very compelling information about what they actually were. I'm sure you remember the Astronaut's report of a "UFO" following them to the moon. Here is the amazing information. http://www.emediapress.com/go.php?offer=&pid=47

Equipped with my specially designed P-51 "Dallas Doll" high thrust four (4) blade prop my killer Hun in the sun Butcher Bird performed predictably in 90 degree mild wind conditions. Of the three (3) planes tested using the four bladed prop the 190 was the slowest flying and demonstrated the poorest maneuvering capability.

That four bladed prop is really tough, very much like the three bladed props that are de-pitched and thinned gradually toward the tips. I've crashed, flipped over hard, etc., and haven't broken one yet including the really big three bladed prop used on my "big Hurricane." Looks like almost all of my spare props are only going to take up precious space in my already logistics and airplane over loaded house.

Please enjoy the "cut and pasted" Facebook post "free advertising" for modeling/science that managed to stay on my "Facebook News Feed" for hours, unlike usually being blocked off within minutes if not seconds! The TRUTH is unstoppable!!! Too many influential people know what is really going on, not to mention the real power of providence that is really in control of reality!

Regarding the "FAA's Interpretive Rule" I am more thankful for you and the AMA than words can convey! Destructive forces in the "cultural revolution" are threatening modeling FREEDOM just like they are in virtually every other area of our lives. Please correct me if I am wrong but my observations of modeling demonstrate to me that this is the greatest time in history for the wholesome enjoyment of modeling. Modeling leaders and businesses are very... responsive to modeler's interests and needs. The absolutely only real "threat" of modeling that I can see is that it promotes the kind of FREEDOM that makes cultural progress possible. Below is a sample of a very serious threat to vested interests in the energy/science status quo that might help show a motive for the destruction of modeling.

The following statement was posted on General Chuck Yeager's Facebook website and is "cut and pasted" on post # 18 on the FW 190 thread on "Park Flyers & Backyard Flyers" forum. http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/park...ark-flyer.html

Thanks GB! It's great to see you still in the fight. We lose a lot of good pilots on the fighter threads and it is such a shame at this point in history when a lot of fighter pilot courage is so needed in our time.

The one thing I have always appreciated about the 190 is that it's gear seems to be set up so well to minimize nose over tendencies. My Butcher Bird is on probation for the time being. I've bent the Landing gear further forward and made some repairs to the landing gear mounts. My last landing was acceptable but two (2) bad landings before my final adjustments were so bad that I may turn the bird into a belly lander. If I do it may be necessary to rework the wheel wells for hand launching missions.

Out.

Here is a look at this plane complete with retracts and drop tank in action. Ignore the landing as for some reason this plane has horrible ground handling.

Enjoy!

GB, you've done it again!

The inspiration generated by your reporting suddenly provided the answer needed for expert like FW190 landings. I just ordered a spare "Dallas Doll" AS3X receiver that will be used to tame my Butcher Bird down to land as well or better than my AR635 AS3X receiver equipped Hurricane and Spitfire fighters. Now that I am engaged in combat the 190's receiver will be handy to have around in the event of the inevitable. Turns out that I can repair everything else.

So, Aim High, Fly, Fight, Win!

Out.

By the way did you notice how your statement got posted on my post # 19 under the picture? No, I did not post it.
