Default Can I use a 3 blade prop on my park flyer???

I just got my first park flyer and i'm curious if anyone uses a three bladed prop. Would it throw off the balance if I already have the balance set. Any other suggestions on what kind or brand of prop to use.

In general 3 blade props are less efficient and will provide less thrust. It shouldn't alter your balance much, but you may notice a drop in performance.

I think 3 and 4 blades were used to reduce diameter of props on real planes...so they did not have to be sitting so high off the deck for prop clearance....especially on carriers...I think that is why the corsair even had their hump in the wings for extra clearance...but as always I could be wrong.

I would have thought it would give the plane more thrust to use a 3 bladed prop. Guess I was wrong. And also somthing else i've been wondering. What will a wood prop as opposed to a plastic do to the performance?

I don't think you would want to run a wood prop on a slow flyer due to weight reasons. It would also put quite a load on your motor/ESC. If I'm wrong someone please correct me. Have you flown your Yard Stick yet? I would love to hear how it flys and any goods and bads.

I havn't flown it yet. I should get it flying within the next month. Ive heard it's really stable and easy to fly. I can't wait till I get it up in the air.
