Default Multiplex Cargo, Brushless?

I just finished building my Mutiplex Cargo with the stock 400 motors, but I think it could do much better with Mega brushless motors, has anyone out there run more than 1 brushless motor with a single speed control? It's a cool plane but I think it 'd be awesome with 4 Megas like the 16/15/7's, I got a big enough Lipo pack, 8400 mah 11.1 v, suggestions ?

I don't believe you can run more than 1 brushless motor on 1 ESC. The ESC has to be able to sense where the motor is in it's rotation in order to know when to apply power to keep it going. I don't think it'll run 2 motors at a time and you run the risk of damaging the ESC.

Thanks for the reply, I guess I'll have to keep it stock then, I am going to have to figure out how to use the cargo door and drop some paratroopers, I've heard it can be done but haven't seen the set up yet.

For a cheaper upgrade, you could go with 4 GWS 350's A ratio with 8x4 props. Otherwise, in regards to direct drive, I found mine flies much better with the GWS DD 7x3.5 prop than any other prop I tried. Grass ROG is no problem. In regards to your bombay doors and dropping objects, are they not working for you? I use the 12 bombs from a weapons pack tower sells. As far as 1 controller for 4 motors, I doubt it will work, but several people have very successfully controlled 2 megas of your size with one castle creations controller. Getting to be some bucks though.

I got the cargo door all done and it opens with my gear channel, it looks great but what I was thinking of was dropping paratroopers in a scale like fashion kind of like in formation, the way it works now it would drop them all at once and I did not like that but hey maybe I'm asking too much. I'll try the 7035 prps I thing it might worth a shot, thanks for the info. For what I've heard the brushless is out of the questions. Has anyone seen out there the GWS 747-300 , I saw it in a website but I think that it's not out yet.

Another option would be to replace the S400's with Long Can 400's (aka S480 for most mfg), swinging a 6x4 prop. From experience with single and twin S400 projects, the is quite a bit of difference. fwiw next plane for me should be a Cargo->B-17 conversion, already got the conversion kit from EAM.

This was my first multi motor plane, I originally wanted the GWS DC-3 but could not find it so I settled for this one, it's great, don't get me wrong but I suffer from the Tim Allen's syndrome "You can never have too much power" Thanks for the replies.

I finally tried the set up with 7035 GWS props and made an improvement, thanks for the idea and it was very inexpensive. Luckily we have a LHS in town that takes stuff on consignment so I'll be dropping off my cargo plane. I want to try my hand at a spacewalker that I just finished and only have to mount the motor and batteries.

I put on an AXI 2814/12 and I am using 3s2p 2100 TP LiPo, It's an awesome plane and it's great for aerobatic training.
