Default GWS Corsair

I just got my corsair in the mail last night. It looks like it will be lots of fun. I'm going to run the stock motor on a 2 cell Lipo pack. It should be fun for strafing runs and mild aerobatics. ( I've got a brushles hot rod funfly for 3D) Anyway, i heard if you fly it without the gear the wings get pretty banged up on landing. I was wondering if strapping tape at the bends would help. Thoughts?

Packing tape across the entire bottom area of contact for landing will certainly help. I can also suggest "Glassing or Coating" the under carriage. Coating is the same as glassing minus the .25 .5 or .75 oz glass clotch. Used with Minwax Polycrylic.

Also, I have heard good things about using "Monocoat" or "Ultra Coat" on the bottom to help beef things up.
