RE: Tiger Moth Wing
The struts that attach top part of the wing to the fuselage is screwed.
The cowling is too.
Anyway, the instructions are total crap, ain't too good if you haven't had experience with these GWS foamies... its better to ask around if you have any q's!!!

RE: Tiger Moth Wing
if you are really in to scale looks, try do a search on gws tiger moth modifications. you may find some good ideas, but it would fly perfectly fine even if you mod it or not.

You might want to take a look at GWS's Tiger Moth 400. It has a slightly larger motor and ailerons. I haven't seen any flight reports, but i included a link to a page that has a video of it and some other GWS's you might want to look at. I have an aerobird and am 15, so if I ever get enough money saved up I would like to get this plane.

It sounded kind of windy that day of the flight.
I was wondering if anyone has come up with a mod (Better way) for the top wing to be attached to the plane without the glue?
By the way..... cool videos![8D]

RE: Tiger Moth Wing
A local flyer Mike J. modified his moth wing mounting so that the top & bottom wings are held by rubber bands , and easy to slip the assembled together wings , onto the plane from the rear and then use the rubber bands to hold them , and so there is no screwing and unscrewing each time the wings are removed .
I built my TM like his , and it is working great . Here are a couple of pictures for show and tell
Made with a 1/16th" light plywood .

RE: Tiger Moth Wing
Get the TM 400.
The TM has white under the wings... therefore yellow rubberbands stick out. It is a great plane for starting to fly though.
Just remember, keep it light.
