Default Pinion gear on a gws-himax setup

How in the heck do you get the pinion gear to stay on the himax motor when using the gws d gearbox. I've used the 609 locktite and both times, within 10 seconds it pops loose. This is holding me up from flying and I wanna fly so bad!!!!!! Thanks in advance, Chris

Sounds like you need to buy a new gear. Many times if you pull the gear from another motor it is too loose to stay on. New gears are cheap enough.

Must be the wrong size. I have a HiMaxx + GWS CD gearbox, and the pinion was a very tight press fit...........no loctite necessary.

I don't understand why b-p-p would send the wrong size with this setup though, seeing as i bought the whole thing from them at the same time. It is however holding my test runs tonight after much locktite last night. We'll c. Mine was a little hard to get onto the shaft and then when it moved back to where it needed to be, it got looser. I assume this is why some use the loctite. Kindof a strange setup if ya ask me though. Thanks again, Chris

Well I flew the 3dx this morning one flight and got a small flat spot in the gws gearbox large gear. Only flew one short flight. Any reason for this that you can think of. Got more on order already though. Thanks again, chris
