You can use 2 bands if they are thicker Hobbico #64 bands. Use 4 bands if they are smaller, worn, or you are flying in windy conditions.
The extra weight will not hurt the Slow Stik.

I use four #64 rubber bands, two on each side: two x-wise and two chord-wise. If one fails you have a redundant rubber band on that wing half.
