GWS ZERO SUCCESS FINALLY!
On a whim i decided to take my zero out of the closet after a few months. I could never fly it! It just would not fly.
I decided to try my aerobird 7 cell battery its a 8.4 900mah on it. At this point i didnt care if i wrecked it. I put it in and balanced it.. I went out to a softball field around the corner and thew it into the wind and it just took off! This thing is so squirrely! VERY responsive compared to my other planes! Its also very fast. I flew around getting the feel for it and then just let loose. loops, rolls and other crazy things that i dont knoe the names for! This plane is awesome! just to think i had already given up on this thing!

RE: GWS ZERO SUCCESS FINALLY!
First i tried the 7.2 600mah. then i tried the gws 8.4 730 mah. neither worked. I dont even use the 7.2 for my slow stick. I killed the other one using my aerobird charger. I use my aerobird batteries with my slow stick and now with my zero! I made a connector adapter in order to do this.

the zero is fast, if you want faster than get a mustang. We have a little community of GWS flyers with cubs, beavers ,zeros, mustangs, slowsticks, formosas with brushless motors,e-starters and even ducted saburs all flying around, the mustang would almost be the quickest.

RE: GWS ZERO SUCCESS FINALLY!
well Ive managed to crash my zero a few times rather hard. I've broken the fuse in half and ripped the wing mounts off.
It's been fixed with epoxy and it still flies nicely. I need a new motor and gearbox though. This is the fastest plane i have.
I just nned to get used to the speed.
