Default easy star set-up

I've decided to bite the bullet and get an easy star and had a few questions. Anybody ever tried the greatplanes micro flight pack5ch rec w/ built in 30A esc and cs-12 servos? Thinking of using the li-poly 1500mah 2cell, will this set-up work for the easy star?, and I'm thinking maybe not enough battery weight to balance out? thanks for any help, Mike. guess I'll have to get a triton too

Default RE: easy star set-up

Let me start off by saying don't buy everything from one company if you can. I know personally that the MRC Super Crain 969 is a better deal then the Triton, except the temp gauge auto shut off device. According to the requirements for the Easy Star on towerhobbies the 2S 1500mah lipo should exceed whats needed so you'd have a little extra power. Now for lipos you need an ESC with a voltage cut off because you can't discharge lipos below 3.0V per cell, if you do you permanently ruine the cell(s). Make sure you can get that voltage cut off. Also why do you need a 30A ESC? It looks like you won't be using more then 15 amps if that. Just my 2 cents.
