Cheap FF to RC conversion
I converted a Hobbico Sky Pilot to R/C by building a new wing with ailerons and powering it with a Johnson 250 and a 2 cell 1500mAH LiPoly pack.
It will loop at 1/2 throttle and I flew it for 18.5 minutes this morning without much regard for throttle management. It weighs 12.3oz rtf and the motor draws 5.41A with a Hobbico "Classic Cruiser" propeller.
The plane cost $14.99.

Two propellers cost $2.29.

The motor cost $0.50.
Cheap fun!
