Default Pico Stick battery help

Will an 8.4 V 730 mAh NiMH battery work in a pico stick? The specs for the Pico Stick call for a 500 mAh battery. Will the 730mAh burn up the motor in the Pico Stick, or will it work fine? Thanks for the info.

as long as the voltage is the same--no problem.
the larger capacity will give you longer run times.

Are you talking about the SLOW STICK? The Pico Stick's manual recommends a 110mah battery. I believe you have the SLOW STICK.

Is the fuselage aluminium?

I think that battery will be too big and heavy. If it's the AAA size, it'll weigh too much. You can use a 7c. pack w/ that motor w/ no problem, but with a larger capacity pack, you gotta watch how long you use max. power when the pack is fully charged, or you can overheat the brushes/comm. The plane might fly, but it'll probably over stress the little skewers (spars) and I think the wings will fold.
I've been using a 2/3 AAA 7 cell NiMh pack for years (300mah and 2oz. wt.) on my lite/pico stik and it flys quite well with that one...
Also, after testing a bunch of props, I've found that the 9x7 GWS prop works the best IMO.
