Default Prop angle on the Parkzone J-3 cub...

Do all all J-3 cub models have the prop angled like the Parkzone model or is this something that is unique to this plane. What is the purpose of the angle?

Thanks!

I mean the angle of the shaft, not the prop itself. Sorry if I confused ppl.

Thanks again!

I know that the parkZone Cubs come with a down/right thrust or the gear box is angled down and to the right. Could be that this is to counter act the motor/prop torque. I have seen a few other planes with down right thrust angles also and heard of people putting in some down right thrust on their planes.

I myself am not sure why other then to counter the thrust of the motor and prop.

Down thrust has to do with how the plane climbs.

So the shaft is suppose to be point downward?
I flew my Cub for the first few times today and thought I bent the shaft. I bought the plane used so I was not sure on the previous damage.

Thanks

This is normal. I thought the same thing but if you take off the prop and covering you will notice that the houseing that screws onto the firewall is actually machined on an angle. I thought it was a mistake so I wedged some cardboard to straighten it. Man did that plane do a nosedive lol
