Slo-V : Factory assembly error? L@@K Dribbe!
Hello,
Just received my slo-v and it looks like it was not assembled correctly. I was told on rcgroups.com to post here and ask for Dribbe to help me out! (or anyone who can help me with this)
I was ready to install the mail wing on the fuselage when I noticed that the second brace (the one where the rear of the main wing should be put on) was probably installed the wrong way at factory.
First two pictures shows that. I think it's pretty obvious but I might be wrong.
Now I want to remove it from the fuselage and put it on the good side but I have some kind of problems doing so. The piece (shown on 3rd pic) doesn't want to slip like other pieces and I don't know how to remove it. Looks glued or something. I'm afraid to break it if I push it too hard.
Any input here?
Thanks to help a noob with building one of the easiest plane to build..

Yea, it looks backwards! They'll probably ask you to send it back. What a PITA. They're glued on. Good luck.

The back brace is definitely backwards but it is not glued on. Unfortunately everything in front and behind it is so the result is the same. You need a new fuse. Maybe your LHS can help out.

Well, fixed the problem by cutting the raised part of that backwar piece with an exacto and carefully glued the very little piece of plastic at the right place with some normal crazy glue.
It's not the best piece of work i've seen but it should work i guess!!
Didn't try that first plane yet.. waiting for the conditions!
thanks!

It looks like a factory assembly error to me.
Call the number in the manual.
I am sure Customer Support will be happy to either send you a new bare fuselage, or exchange the plane.
That is the best thing you can do.
Sorry for the inconvenience,
David

I have a somewhat related question: how do you replace the rubber band that holds the wing in fore/aft postion? Looks like everything fore or aft of it would have to come off. And there is at least one component that is glued in place in each direction!
