Default F-27 stryker, handles wind great!

I got my stryker in today. I fly micro choppers all the time, so im good with small twitchy aircraft. after teaching some kids to fly with the aerobird challenger so we could dogfight, i decided to pick up a stryker because i was happy with hobbyzone's products, and their planes are cheap!

the winds were high! i didn't know how high, but i've been flying the challenger in like 15 mph winds so i figured "why not, now i got ailerons." i took it up, flew around, everything was fun. easy as heck to hover in high wind. when i got back, i checked online and found out the wind was 25mph, gusting to 30 mph! man, thats a lot of wind! the stryker flew in it fine, and was able to handle the high wind at just above half stick to hover... with an 8 cell battery. i can't wait to fly this plane on a calm day! great plane for the money. i highly recomend it.

You're hooked!! I've 3 Strykers (all NiMh), Swift, Zagi and ME262 - but F27b th best, wind or no wind My only problem in highish wind is keeping it close, pointing inp to wind, cos otherwise you're chasing after the bird. FYI there' a good thread for mods costing only $30 max (battery, venting, props, strengthening). A lot of guys buy the bare shell with n/cone, strengthen, hot up, etc (that wot I did on last 2) - brilliant But its great just stock! Enjoy
