Default F 27 STRYKER WITH 540 ENGINE?

Here's the question. I have an f-27 that i love to fly, however i have a aerobird extreme that is destroyed except for the engine and electronics { chevy truck and extreme don't mix }. Could I use the motor from the extreme which is a 540 to replace the 480? Would i have to switch the esc? I think the rating on the 540 is 7.2 volts, and they are both from the same family {parkzone/hobbyzone}.
I think the stryker would be awesome with a little more jam, and it comes with a larger prop to also assist with get up and go.
Any help would be greatly appreciated as always. Shaun.

I want to turbo boost one of these and add nitrous oxide just dont want the motor mounts to rip off.

I want to try an outrigger like a axi with a four blade prop. and lipoly as the cherry on top.
