Did I burn up my ESC?
Installed a battery in my E-Starter and apparently, at the end of the connector that goes into the plane, the wires touched. Needless to say, the battery was torched and the wire to the battery was melted, as was the connector. I have noticed that the wires going into the plane are now hard and brittle.
Did I torch the ESC in the plane. I haven't had time to check it out yet or to solder a new wire onto it. Has anyone done this before and what was the end result.
Glad it didn't happen in the air, would have been very ugly.
The smoke coming from the plane looked pretty cool though!
Thanks[X(]

RE: Did I burn up my ESC?
DId the same exact thing the other day with my slow stik. All that happened was the rubber insulation around the wire was melted. Check to make shure no wires are showing.if there are, Just wrap some black electrical tape around them. MAKE SHURE YOU KNOW WHICH WIRE IS BLACK AND WHICH IS RED! Now all you need is a new battery and youll be flying! Make shure yoyu are using the correct voltage. too much volts will burn your motor and speed controller up![X(]
