GWS BEaver
HI to All,
Can someone tell me if it would be appropriate to try and install ailerons on GWS’s Beaver, or should I select a second plane to install ailerons?
Regards, Terry

RE: GWS BEaver
I've read of others trying it. Take out a bunch of the dihedral in the wings. Might still need some rudder to help with turning. Since it's an undercamber airfoil, it's not an aerobatic plane. Might be fun to try it.

RE: GWS BEaver
It probably won't be very effective due to the wing flex that is inherent in the Beaver. You need a stiffer wing for ailerons, or the they will just twist the wing instead of turning the plane. take a look at the E- Starter. that is designed as an aileron trainer - BUT get a slope glider kit and put a 350C on it, not the 400 it comes with now.
