Freak, my man, you have not said anything about the Hobbico MKII. Is it available? It works for me and charges two at a time and does Li-Po's, tho not perfect. I want the Triton so I can charge my Li-Po to its fullest capacity and be able to charge larger cell# packs when needed. I do think it will only charge one at a time tho. Ask Randy.

ORIGINAL: Freakazoid

Ive had very bad experiences with chargers that have knobs to dail in the charge current. Thats why im looking for a more decent one, actually.
I guess I didnt mention the name Hobbico mkII, but it says it perty much.

Hobbico is very rarely available in holland... just like all the other Rc stuff...

I guess I am at a loss at to what it is you really want. I give up. If you think the Hobbico MKII is complicated you have issues!

Plug in the battery, punch one button to tell it what kind of battery you have. You can adjust the amps if needed with one knob up to 2 amps. That's all there is to it. Sorry, but, I guess I don't know where there is something you are asking for.

Dude, its not TO complicated, its not complicated ENOUGH. I dont trust chargers that dont give readouts, and the knob turning thing doesnt make it very accurate.

Terry

Just last weekend I adjusted for MAX troughs, as I become more comfortable with the plane, I want to tax my skills even further.

I do sometimes use the dual rates, when I am just cruising (end of the battery), I flip it to low and just cruse around. This plane is the 3D vision of the Slow Stick, can fly SLOW and STABLE.

My next training on this plane is the knife edge, I'll be working on that next time out.

My LHS sells 1,200 8C lipos that are the smallest and lightest I have ever seen, I configured the Ultimate to use 2 in parallel, so I have 7.2 V @2,200 Mah and it is only 1/2 oZ more than my 1,500 Mah IRate battery.

I know who I'd like on tonights list[8D]

Later all

Well, I guess the Triton. I am sorry, but, you want to be able to tell your charger how many amps to use. It may be over heating your batteries and that means death to the batteries. If you cannot adjust you are just stuck with it. I am throwing my hands up in the air. You did not want knobs and dials so you could tune the charger, so, I rightfully assumed you wanted something simpler. I am out of the picture.

Good luck[8D]

The above is my opinion only and not intended to be that of any, otherwise, normal human.

Well, The hobbico mk2 isnt available in holland, nor is the triton.. Over here we have crap like graupner and such. []

Also, Im sorry but a charger that attempts to figure out wich type of battery is hooked on all by itself, just smells a little fishy to me. What if it screws up and pops a lipo? A battery doesnt just go "Hi, im NiMH, feed me", or does it? (I know I must sound like some old farmer going "I cant see a horse infront of me while driving, so it cant be safe!" )

Order the Triton online from somewhere and get it over with.
Hey all. Areo-Nuts.com has improved it's server. Doesn't take all day to view. Check out the prices of ESC's and motors and stuff.

agcatsbest:
Where did I say that? You seem to be easily confused today. Been drinkin? All I asked for is a midrange charger, prefferably with 2 ports and a little screen so I can see whats going on. Actually just an accu-cycle elite clone, that might actually be available in this hellhole country called holland.

Loubud: You get over the fact that ordering online (most likely amerika) will rip me off 34% bull**** taxes.

I'll try this again. I wrote a message and suddenly it was gone!

Captain, I have slack in my servos where the wire connects to the arms. I will need to put some kind of spacer there before I fly.

Come on, Capt! Give me your opinion of the Decathlon! Pretty please? Promise not to ask again.

Have you heard anything on the Cub?

Brent, here is a belated !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't count mine any more.

AG

My birthday is not till the 20th so you are early.

Freak just like to hear his keys clicking. To the best of my knowledge he has never accepted an answer to a single question he asked. I just ignore him now, WHY ask a question if your going to debate the answer.

I come here to learn and help where I can (as we ALL do), I'm done defending my opinions, as i hope you all are.

All

I have posted links to web sights in the past that gives, ( once again ) in my opinion, gave good deals.

My LHS always gave me a very good price on things ( I thought they just liked me ), I found out tonight they have been selling on the INTERNET for the last 3 years, I checked their web prices, WOW they like everyone[], check them out http://www.pat-o-briens.com/ .
This is NOT a shameless plug that I will benefit from ( disclaimer Hee Hee Hee).

Later All

Hi Brent,
I gave your LHS web a look. Seems like they have good prices on stuff. I didn't look hard. Just servos as i have an idea of what they a re going for.
My LHS is Hobby People. They are competitive on most things and I can walk in and get web prices as they are the same.

I agree. I like mine. They don't give me any trouble when I return something. And, they have the gall to tell me I don't need something and show me how to do it.
Now and then when I go there, there will be a small croud of people milling about. Striking up a conversation with one of them usually gets a some of them to talk about what they are building or flying. Lots of fun to see what others are doing.

Shoot. I was going to try it if you got good results.
I'll have to come up with something else. Wifey said a while back that I must go to sleep sooner or later. I'd hate to wake up missing parts.
