Default Aerobird Extreme Problem

Ive got an Aerobird Extreme and when i was flying it the motor started to cut out for a split second and then carry on.I checked the battery connector and the board but it was still the same. Now the range i can achieve is about 10 metres before the motor starts going on and off. Also if i touch the ariel on the Tx it causes the motor to stop.Has anyone come accross this problem before........................any help is much apreciated ....thanks

I have flown my Xtreme a lot with no problems. Rock solid radio past 1000 ft!! Are the batteries good in the Tx! It beeps when they are low, then I swap them out with no delays. If the board is bad, you might need to replace the fuselage with the electronics in it.

I have also flown the Aerobird challanger and the extreme w/ no problems like that at all. On the Tx of both of these planes if the aerial button is PUSHED w/ no xport product in the slot of the plane then the engine will cut out until the button is again released, this is normal.

If you are just TOUCHING the aerial button on the Tx and this happens then that is not normal..

I think you need to replace your Tx to solve the problem....Good Luck!!

Oh, one more thing. Make sure the Tx antenna is screwed on tight. That could cause glitching if its loose. But I think ryan has something about the Xport button. If it is shorting or broken, it could cause the engine cut-out issues. I would try a different Tx to see if that fixes it.

Sorry to say but......I've had two ABX's and they both fizzled out in the same way. Get a few yards out and nada, and then straight into the ground. Both were faulty and both were returned to HZ....
