Cabane Struts question on GWS PT-17
In the photos, and manual the cabane struts are curved and this looks very un-scale.
Iv'e read in several threads that they have to be curved like this to maintain the incidence of the wing, but have seen several photos of other GWS PT-17's that do not have a curve.
Is it possible to straighten the struts without changing the flying characteristics of the plane? If so, how is it done?
Thanks, any help would be appreciated.
