Default What parkflyer should i get

I am really wanting a parkflyer so i have something i can fly in the back yard. I could do any parkflyer and would prefer one with ailerons, but would give up rudder. I already have a radio, but if it came with radio that's cool too. I really like the f-27 stryker, is it good? I have heard great things about slow stiks, but i would rather have ailerons so the park flyer doesn't mkae me used to rudder turns for glow flying. I have experience enough to fly about any park flyer and my spending is under about 180 rtf, if it doesn't come with a radio than 180 including flight pack batteries excetra..

Thanks
Chad

Why not a GWS E-Starter? It will be a lot slower than that Stryker. And unless you have a really big back yard with very little obstructions (trees, houses, power lines) you might have a tough time with that F-27.

Obviously you've got R/C experience....what planes do you have/had?

I have/had:
Superstar
V-stik
Four star

The V stik and fourstar i still have. I have a huge park behind my house, so space really isn't an issue. I have more room than a baseball field there.

Yep, I could fly glow planes in that park, but it's not worth risking..

i would but the Wing Dragon Sportster.
it's 4 ch and the components can be used in another plane.
some goes on the radio.it's a regular 4 ch system.
it flys really well and can take abuse.
and of curse it's cheap.

The 4 channel electronics that will come with the Parkzone Typhoon (Late July) are billed to be transferable into other planes as well. If you already have a radio then you can drop your own electronics into a Stryker and even go brushless right away. You would have to purchase parts separately to build your own Stryker but it is about as cheap to simply by an RTF and run it around until your get board and then hop it up.

If you are experienced I recommend a shockflyer type profile.

Heh, I was going to get the Typhoon, but then when I found out what they had pushed the date back to I decided just to drop it and buy a Tensor 4d.

Anyway, I would suggest the Stryker. It does what you want it to and performs well with the stock setup. It is quite fast though, so give it a good area. As well as this, it is easily repaired. I have smashed mine almost in half and just reassembled it with packing tape.

In my opinion it really is your best choice.

have a F27 Stryker that flew perfectly out of the box, the other day I nosed dived it into the ground at full speed.
The Body split in two right down the middle, nose smashed into 3 parts and the area the rear blew off where the engine was mounted.

I stuck it all back together with Araldite, (Epoxy) and masking tape, took it out and launched it again, to my surprise flew almost like it did when brand new although just a little bit "twitchy".

Just as an update I took my F27 out tonight in completley calm conditions (very rare for the UK ! ) it flew PERFECTLY full speed 3 feet off the ground skimming the long grass stayed perfectly trimmed and level flight, no trim needed whatsoever, looped stall turned rolled the works, unbelievable when u consider the state it was in , I mean it was BAD a bit of glue and like Brand new.

So can recommend this for both the fun angle and the ability to patch it up after a bad crash. The crash was my fault acrobatics at too low an altitude!
