The Beaver wings are one piece, I'm sure if you were creative you could devise a way to make it fold in half for travel however you'd really need to keep the plane light weight or you'd probably run into problems with it folding in flight! Hope that helps.

I have a GWS Beaver that was built two weeks ago and test flown last week.
It really flies beautifully, very slow good for the beginner!

Yes, you can detach the wings from the fuselage by unclipping the plastic clip on the fuselage side. However, you can not fold the wing by half!!

The wing is easily removeable. As said, plastic clip on each side and rubber bands is all that holds it on.

The wings on the GWS models will come off without to much hastle, but the horiz stab is glued on and this prohibits you from putting the model back into the original box for transport. There are other models which will break down and go back into the original box. The sky scooter and space scooter comes to mind. The original box even comes with a handel to carry it with. These are not first time beginner planes, although the sky scooter is a good second plane and a great aileron trainer which flies very good right out of the box and is a true RTF. In the time it takes to charge the battery, it's ready to fly. Good luck.
